The bone-skinned ‘witch’ boy, once rejected, almost died on the side of the road after 4 years now has a life that makes everyone surprised

At the beginning of 2016, a photo of a Nigerian boy with skin and bones due to severe malnutrition, naked, being given water to drink by a woman, shocked the world at the time.

The boy is almost starving to death after nearly 8 months of being abandoned by his family and rejected by society because they think he is a “witch”. The child must find leftovers in the garbage of the people to survive the day.

And the woman who helped the child is Anja Ringgren Loven, from Denmark, founder of the African Children’s Aid for Education and Development (ACAEDF). That selfless woman decided to adopt the child and named him Hope, which means Hope.

Since then, the life of the boy Hope has turned to another new page. Hope was living in an orphanage founded by Loven and her husband to take care of and protect children with unfortunate fates. In addition, Loven also adopted Hope. That noble act of humanity, Loven surpassed even President Barack Obama to be honored as the most inspirational person in the world in 2016.

4 years later, the boy Hope now has a completely different appearance and life than before, surprising many people. The boy was not only well fed, warmly dressed, had many loving people by his side, but he was also facilitated to develop like many other children. No longer a boy of skin and bones, Hope is now much taller and more mature with a cheerful smile always on her lips.

In 2019, Ms. Anja Ringgren Loven shared that Hope loves sports, he even represented his team to participate in the school sports competition. The boy loves going to school and actively participates in movement games at his foster mother’s loving home. Ms. Anja Ringgren Loven also actively shares pictures of Hope and the children she brings up on social networks.

Thereby, everyone can see that Hope and her friends are living in a happy home, always filled with laughter. The children have fun and study like other children of their age. The story of Hope and the great adoptive mother is the best proof that just having love and humanity can help change lives for the better, no longer suffering or tragic.
