Heartbreaking Rescue: Luna the Dog Overcomes Poisoning to Reunite with Her Puppies

Luna, a loving mother dog, faced a tragic ordeal after giving birth to her litter of six puppies. While trying to find food, someone maliciously placed poisoned food under a car, which Luna unknowingly consumed. Trapped and vulnerable, her health quickly deteriorated.
A young child discovered Luna in her desperate state. After waiting for the man who had left the poisoned food to leave, the child immediately called the dog shelter in Pristina for help.
When the rescue team arrived, Luna was hyperventilating but still managed to lift her head, silently pleading for her life and the safety of her puppies. Thanks to a swift emergency injection from a volunteer veterinarian, Luna’s life was saved.
She was rushed to the shelter in Pristina, where she was reunited with her puppies. Although weak and in need of rest, Luna began her recovery. The next day, she was ready for her first vaccinations, an essential step for her health and the well-being of her newborns. Despite being a little anxious, Luna bravely endured the process.
While Luna’s puppies are still too young to be adopted, their health has stabilized, and Luna’s bond with them remains strong. When she first laid eyes on them after her near-death experience, she was overjoyed.
It was clear from Luna’s friendly demeanor that she wasn’t a stray. She must have been a pet before her abandonment. In a heartwarming twist, Luna even allows two other orphaned pups, Nikita and Luna, who were found the day before, to nurse from her. Despite not being their biological mother, Luna has welcomed them as her own, proving what a nurturing and kind mother she is.
