Mayans M.C. Star Clayton Cardenas Sets Roots in the Hills with His New Home

Clayton Cardenas, known for his role as Angel Reyes, a tough member of a ruthless motorcycle gang in the hit TV series “Mayans M.C.,” has chosen a different path in real life when it comes to his choice of residence. The 38-year-old actor recently purchased a beautifully maintained 1940s house in an upscale Los Angeles neighborhood for approximately $1.7 million.

Nestled in the foothills where Studio City meets the Hollywood Hills, this charming structure sits elevated above the street. A long driveway and a well-manicured ivy garden create a sense of privacy. Tall hedges shield most of the 2,000-square-foot home from public view, and a two-car attached garage allows for convenient access.

Inside the house, the most striking feature is the handmade terracotta tile floors that extend throughout much of the property. An abundance of French doors and large windows flood the space with natural light. The step-down living room showcases original crown molding and a wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen has been recently updated and features modern appliances and quartz countertops.

The main level offers a single bedroom, which is ideal for a home office. Upstairs, two larger bedrooms are separated by a media room with a fireplace. The master suite boasts a spa-style bathroom and two separate closets. Although there is no private balcony, the large windows provide views of the lush surrounding hills.

Due to the property’s location on a sloped lot of about a third of an acre, the outdoor space is somewhat limited. However, according to the listing, the “Zen garden area” includes multiple water features, and the various patios surrounding the home provide ample space for outdoor dining and entertaining. The terraced backyard is shaded by mature oak trees, along with majestic palm trees that stand guard at the front of the property.

Born and raised in West Covina, a suburb of Los Angeles, Clayton Cardenas is best known for his starring role in “Mayans M.C.” He has also made appearances in popular television shows such as “Law & Order,” “S.W.A.T.,” and “American Crime.
