Rescue Story: Angela Simmons Saves a Puppy in South Carolina
Angela Simmons was driving through South Carolina on a rainy day when she spotted a sad, lonely face peering through her foggy car window. This was the face she had been searching for.
Earlier that day, residents of a nearby trailer park informed Simmons about a beautiful puppy tied to a roadside couch. The puppy had been left outside without proper care, and it was clear he needed help. Simmons couldn’t ignore the situation and quickly realized she had to take action.
As Simmons approached the dog, she noticed his feet and nose were irritated, signs that he had been outdoors for too long. Despite his rough circumstances, the dog, later named Murphy, still had a loving and affectionate nature.
With the assistance of a local auction organization, Murphy was placed in a foster home. There, he quickly adapted to the comforts of a family environment. His journey was even captured in a heartwarming video by the Kos team, which you can watch here.
“He’s such a big love bug!” said a member of the Kos team. “The moment he entered the nursery, he became everyone’s favorite.”
Now, Murphy enjoys activities like cozying up under warm blankets, taking walks, and basking in the sun. His cheerful personality and love for others quickly won the hearts of everyone he met.
“He’s very smart, loves other dogs, and has great manners,” said one of his caretakers.
Murphy is currently in a family home trial and is well on his way to finding a forever home. This sweet puppy, once abandoned by the roadside, is now surrounded by love and community—the life he always deserved.
